Brendan has been having a fascination with pumpkins this year, so we asked his Nanaif she could make a pumpkin costume for him. She did, and it's really wonderful.Brendan got several chances to wear it. We have friends who work at Disney, who invited Brendan to come to the Disney family Halloween party, for children of Disney people. (He also got to go last year.)
Brendan was happy to see his friend Gwenna, who's his age. Gwenna dressed up as Jesse from Toy Story 2. Brendan the Pumpkin-Boy is ready to take on Disney!

Brendan also wore the pumpkin costume trick-or-treating at the local mall on Samhain night. We had a lot of fun taking him around. He was really doing well, and remembering to say "Thank you!" each time.

Brendan also wore the costume to the Spiral Tower Samhain circle and feast.(Ok - he also wore it to bed. He loves it very much!)
2001 Update! Brendan also wore the pumpkin costume this year. It still fits, and he still loves it. He wore it to school and they thought it was great. I took him trick-or-treating, and he did very well, used good manners, wished everyone Happy Halloween and said Thank you very nicely. One couple took his picture. He really wore me out. After many blocks I asked him "are you tired?" Now, this is a question he almost always says NO to. He said yes. I asked if he wanted to go home? He said NO!
His Nana has recently been taking painting classes, and sent him
a wonderful picture she did, of a teddy bear wearing a pumpkin costume
like his, with candycorn. He loves it, and picked a place for
Daddy to hang it up in his room. He took it to school for show and
tell.
