Kelthaven as a whole visited the Naevehjem Mid East Feast held on Saturday, March 6th. We went Celtistani style - these people who bear a striking resemblance to Dawn, Brent, and Laura are really Seher Deka al-Khasif, dancer, and Hameen Muwakkil al'Shahaab and Kadriya, drummers. Kevin (mka Karl) came along as our traveling Irish roadie. We had a lovely time, and would like to share some pictures.

What a day it was! There were merchants from afar, splendid music, acrobats performing, dancers of all kinds. Click on any of the thumbnails for pictures of some of the performances - including our own Seher Deka al-Khasif. Hameen and Kadriya joined in her accompaniment.

Ah, but there were performances other than the dancers! During the Court of the Baron and Baroness of Naevehjem, the Baron called for his Sheriff, announced that there had been complaints about a man looking at the dancers and disturbing them, and by the Baron's command this miscreant was dragged to court and thrown down before the Baron - Kevin MacColin O'Gallagher! He protested his innocence, but to no avail, as terrible punishments were considered. At this point Brent was attempting to bodily drag Laura forward - she thought Kevin was doing some strange gig, and had no idea this was her cue! When the Baroness called for any from his household to defend him, and she came forward, Kevin knelt before her, and declared to all assembled that he was innocent, for there was only one woman he had eyes for - and he then proceded to ask her to marry him, producing a ring.
