January 29, A.S. XXXIV

What a wonderful day it was. Gyldenholt was hosting the annual Unbelted Tournament, and my beloved lord husband, Kevin MacColin O'Gallagher, fought on the tourney field for me for the first time. What a wonderful way to spend my birthday.

Brendan trying on arm armor

We had Lady Bridget sitting with us that day. Here's a couple of pictures of Brendan trying on her arm armor. It fits him well as leg armor! That's our little fighter-to-be!

Padraig gets his AoA

Padraig O'Connell and Caitlin Paget were spending the day with us as well. Padraig skipped out on court to help Kevin arm up. Since Kevin's still new at it, it takes a while. Then Their Majesties called him to court. I told them he was squiring, and we sent his lady, Caitlin off to fetch him.

He was then given his Award of Arms. Congratulations! Here's Lord Padraig and his proud lady Caitlin. Huzzah!

I thank my darling husband for honoring me by fighting for me on the field, and carrying my favor. (Currently his surcoat, which carries my badge.) This has been a thrilling experience, and makes me feel more a part of the Society. I look forward to many more tournaments in our future!
